Hilton continues its international expansion with the opening of the first Motto by Hilton hotel in the EMEA region. In partnership with Borealis Hotel Group, it has brought the lifestyle brand to the Dutch city of Rotterdam.
Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak boasts 108 guestrooms, of which 14 can be connected. They include standard beds, bunk beds and flex beds that stow into the wall to ensure flexible options for larger family and friend groups. Thanks to the hotel's flexible room booking system, guests are able to take advantage of Confirmed Connecting Rooms by booking up to nine connecting rooms at a time. This means individual travellers can upgrade their bedroom into a larger living space or groups and large families can stay close to each other.
The hotel features a varied F&B offering. Amsterdam seafood restaurant Pesca has opened its second location inside the new property. It offers dynamic pricing that evolves over the course of the day depending on demand. Additional amenities include a bar and a central hub known as Motto Commons. The hub provides guests with a place to work, relax and socialise; it also offers hot and cold beverages as well as light bites and snacks for those on the go.
Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak is situated in the heart of the city, close to vibrant spots such as Markthal and the Witte de With. It is housed inside a former bank building, which has undergone extensive renovation works. Original staircases and wooden panelling of the old modernist bank have been integrated into the hotel's design. Red, yellow, and blue themes in its colour palette pay homage to the Modernist art movement, which is synonymous with the city.
