Hurtigruten Expeditions
Take advantage of this limited-time birthday sale!

Hurtigruten is celebrating its 131th anniversary with a new limited-time birthday sale.

Running from June 25 to July 16, 2024, the sale includes up to 50% off Original Coastal Express Voyages, and up to 35% off Signature Voyages, for departures during the 2024/25 season. In addition, guests will save up to 15% and receive up to 5,000 Norwegian kroner (roughly US$450) when booking departures for the 2025/26 season.

Since July 2, 1893, Hurtigruten has sailed almost the exact same 34 ports as its Original Coastal Express Voyages does today. The route, from Bergen to Kirkenes and back, takes in coastal communities set amongst world-famous fjords and on idyllic islands. Last year, the cruise line launched the Svalbard Line and the North Cape Line, an elevated cruise experience with longer day stops that highlights Norway’s coastal towns. The newer itineraries are part of Hurtigruten’s Signature Voyages, a more premium experience including all-inclusive food and drinks, enhanced onboard experiences, and in-depth lecture series onboard by the Coastal Experience Team.

Earlier this year, Hurtigruten introduced Tom Kerss, a renowned expert in the field of astronomy, as the world’s first Chief Aurora Chaser, reinforcing its status as a leading authority in Northern Lights experiences. Kerss acts as an onboard expert on designated Hurtigruten voyages, leading digital talks, webinars and workshops, as well as organizing activities and events.

Around the same time, Hurtigruten also extended its Northern Lights Promise to September, assuring guests that if the Northern Lights did not make an appearance during their voyage, they would receive a complimentary six- or seven-day voyage to try again the following season.
